Course Overview
This Academy of York Short Course was designed to prepare students for the workplace. Students will learn about approaching colleagues with cultural and social sensitivity and to demonstrate acceptable business etiquette. Students are also introduced to ways in which technology enables global business through remote commuting, cloud storage and online collaboration.
During this course, students will cover the following units:
- Unit 8: Sensitive Communication Skills and Intelligence at Work
- Unit 9: Finding creative solutions at work
- Unit 10: Business Etiquette
Study period: up to 6 months
Assessment and Award
Students will have to successfully complete knowledge based assessments and summative activities On successful completion of this, students will receive an Academy of York Professional Skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution 3 Short Course Skills Certificate.
