This Academy of York Short Course was designed to prepare students for the workplace.
This course will assist a student with the necessary skills to prepare their CV, search for employment and prepare for interviews. Students will acquire the basic competencies required to use technology, communicate effectively and solve problems at work. Students will learn about approaching colleagues with cultural and social sensitivity and to demonstrate acceptable business etiquette. Students are also introduced to ways in which technology enables global business through remote commuting, cloud storage and online collaboration.

Unit 9: Finding creative solutions at work
Unit 10: Business Etiquette

Assessment and Award
Students will have to successfully complete knowledge-based assessments and summative activities On successful completion of this, students will receive an Academy of York Professional Skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution 1 Short Course Skills Certificate
