The ICB accredited Cost & Management Accounting course is your introduction to accounting for a manufacturing concern. Through distance learning, you will receive accounting training that equips you to execute break-even analysis, cost-volume-profit analysis, budgeting, costing, financial management and business ethics. This programme provides the skills required to be a Cost Accounting Clerk, Managerial Clerk or Financial Manager.

Students taking this course must have completed ICB Financial Statements.
Assessments
Using the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) programme material, 30% of your final mark is derived from the activities you complete during your distance learning course. Upon registering for your assessment, you will receive a Portfolio of Evidence (POE) folder, in which must be included all tests and assignments for each module. Each module also requires a written exam, contributing 70% to your final mark. This exam, along with your POE, must be submitted to ICB. Assessment Centres are available throughout South Africa; visit www.icb.org to find the nearest exam venue. You will need to register as a Student Member with the ICB and enroll for the exam before the prescribed closing dates published by ICB. Please note ICB registration and assessment fees are not included in your course fees and must be paid directly to ICB. Please go to http://www.icb.org.za/downloads.html for current fees.

There are no work experience requirements for this course.
Awards
Upon successful completion of the programme, ICB will certify your achievements with a statement of competence indicating the respective unit standards which you have completed.
