Course Description:
This National Diploma is accredited by FASSET SETA and assessed through ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers). The programme equips students with the financial management skills necessary to oversee the finances of small to medium-sized businesses. Through foundational training in accounting, financial reporting, and costing, learners are prepared for roles such as Assistant Financial Manager or other positions requiring essential financial competencies. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn the designation of Business Accountant (ICB).

Assessments
Using the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) programme material, 30% of your final mark is derived from the activities you complete during your distance learning course. Upon registering for your assessment, you will receive a Portfolio of Evidence (POE) folder, in which must be included all tests and assignments for each module. Each module also requires a written exam, contributing 70% to your final mark. This exam, along with your POE, must be submitted to ICB. Assessment Centres are available throughout South Africa; visit www.icb.org to find the nearest exam venue.
You will need to register as a Student Member with the ICB and enroll for the exam before the prescribed closing dates published by ICB. Please note ICB registration and assessment fees are not included in your course fees and must be paid directly to ICB. Please go to http://www.icb.org.za/downloads.html for current fees.
